April 23, 2012, Hundreds of Nepalese-culture lovers were expected to be desperate to celebrate NNS Nepali New Year 2069 event on the night of 21st April; exactly one week after it was cancelled because of the severe weather condition. As per our anticipation, a huge mass of internationals and Nepalese nationals flocked to Bellevue University Student Center to observe the long awaited NNS Nepali New Year 2069, and exchange New Year wishes among each other.
 The program started with a Social Hour from 5:30 PM, which was followed by dinner session. The cultural portion of the program was inaugurated with the Nepali and US national anthem sung by the Nepalese kids in Nebraska. However, the formal program was started with a welcome speech by the NNS President Mrs. Deepa Pokharel. The whole program was hosted by our very own host Mr. Ayush Panta, who was assisted by another multitalented presenter Ms. Supriya Giri. The entire audience seemed to relish the performances by the kids, cultural fashion show in particular, and the diverse performances by other talent-laden performers, served along with the humorous picks by the host dual. The cultural program ended with the concluding remark from NNS Vice President Mr. Sanjay Shrestha. In due course, the entire program was wrapped up high with a rocking DJ Party, which was entertained by our own DJ Birkanchha with his trademark mixes. It was a night to remember, for both the organizer and the participants. NNS is greatly thankful to all the attendees for their overwhelming participation, and would like to thank all those involved directly and indirectly, especially Kishor Karki and Jharana Karki (Tanduri Fusion) for the dinner, Ajit Adhikari (Little King) for the Sandwiches, Anirudra Shrestha and Bellevue University for the venue, Nirakar Rajbhandari and Bimal Adhikari for the photography, and Nebraska Nepalese Football Club and other volunteers for assisting in the event.
