Message from Sushma KC Manandhar
I am running 100 miles on Saturday, November 16, 2013, to help raise funds for Muskaan Sewa Nepal, an orphanage based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Muskaan Sewa provides shelter to unfortunate children, works for their education, and also helps find foster parents.
The orphanage operates with the financial support from kind donors like you. Most of their staff members are volunteers who like to offer their help free of cost. They are determined to run this orphan house for a long time in the future, and need money to help these children with food, clothes, education, and a hope for a brighter future.
They are consistently approaching new donors who would like to support the orphanage so that they can continue helping the disadvantaged children.
I am very excited (and nervous) to be running this race (http://www.wildsebastian100.com/2.html) for a benevolent cause. And I am reaching out to you, hoping you will extend your arm and be part of this great cause. Somebody famous once said, “You need a village to raise kids.” Let us be a part of this nurturing. The kids are the future of our nation, and let us provide an opportunity for them to become honorable citizens of our society back home. One day, they could become our leaders and contributing members to our beloved Nepal.
I hope you will consider this appeal and extend your generosity. Please give whatever you can, as every contribution matters. These children are counting on us, and a little help from you can go a long way.
Please visit our fundraising portal: https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/2bsKe , for periodic updates/information, to make a donation, and post comments. All the information from this site will also mirror in Muskaan Sewa’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/muskaan.nepal
Please feel free to forward this message to your friends, families, colleagues or contacts who might be interested in this charitable effort. If you have any questions/comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at
Thank you in advance for your positive consideration.
